The Driver

Giorgio Roda is an endurance racing specialist born in Como, Italy, with competition running deep in his DNA. A prominent figure in the international GT and prototype scene, Roda has built a career defined by consistency and speed. His most notable achievement came in 2018 when he was crowned ELMS (European Le Mans Series) Champion in the LMGTE class. He also holds a GTS title from the International GT Open, further cementing his reputation as one of Italy’s top endurance drivers.

In recent years, Giorgio has continued to excel at the highest level of motorsport, securing significant results and podiums at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024 and 2025. Whether behind the wheel of a high-downforce LMP2 prototype or a sophisticated LMGT3 car, Roda’s ability to manage long stints under extreme pressure makes him a vital asset for any top-tier racing team.

The Helmet Concept

For a driver competing in the world’s most demanding endurance races, the helmet is more than just safety gear; it is an essential part of his identity in the cockpit. The design created by Dia Design for Giorgio’s Stilo ST6 is fast, sharp, and intentionally asymmetrical. This approach creates a sense of continuous motion, reflecting the aerodynamic nature of the vehicles he drives.

The visual language focuses on aggressive geometries that enhance the Stilo’s unique shell design. We chose a combination of colors that provides a strong, distinctive presence within the cockpit while maintaining an air of professional elegance. The finishes are premium, featuring a mix of matte and high-gloss areas that play with the light during both day and night racing sessions, a crucial detail for 24-hour endurance events.

Endurance-Ready Craftsmanship

Customizing a helmet for endurance racing requires specific technical considerations. At Dia Design, we ensure that every paint application is optimized for durability. The Stilo ST6 shell is treated with high-quality, lightweight materials to keep the overall weight to a minimum, reducing neck fatigue during multi-hour stints. The final clear coat is an ultra-durable finish, designed to withstand the abrasive environment of tracks like Le Mans, where debris and high speeds are constant.

The collaboration with Giorgio Roda is a testament to Dia Design’s commitment to “pure racing” performance. We provide a design that is as fast as the driver, ensuring that when the visor goes down, Giorgio is represented by a piece of equipment that matches his champion status.
