The Project
On the occasion of the American leg of the Formula E World Championship, we created this Special Edition for Oliver Rowland. A unique Bell helmet custom paint, celebrating the bond between the Nissan driver and the US audience with an iconic and patriotic design.
USA Edition Design Analysis
The helmet temporarily moves away from the standard livery to embrace graphic elements typical of American culture. The design features:
- “Money” Texture: An exclusive graphic pattern referencing US dollars and symbols of financial success, integrating Black Castle logos.
- Vibrant Colors: A combination of neon green and grid patterns reflecting the technological and digital aesthetics of modern Formula E.
- Celebratory Elements: The USA flag is strategically placed on the side, highlighting the “Limited Edition” nature of this project.
Character and Style
Photographed against the backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge, this helmet is not just protection, but a celebratory work of art. The mastery in applying complex textures to curved surfaces makes this Bell custom paint one of the most complex and iconic projects to ever leave the Dia Design workshop.
