Steffen Görig is a successful entrepreneur (CEO of Quantum Capital Partners) and a passionate gentleman driver with a Bronze license, known for his participation in major international GT and Endurance competitions. In 2020, he crowned every driver’s dream by debuting at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans driving the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo for the renowned AF Corse team. He has also competed in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), Asian Le Mans Series, and GT World Challenge Europe. This airbrushing project brilliantly unites his professional and sporting life.
The Concept and Design: The Tribute to Carrera
The idea behind the design of this Stilo ST5 helmet is a true conceptual masterpiece. Steffen Görig is the head of the investment firm that controls Carrera, the historic and iconic brand of slot car toy tracks. We therefore wanted to merge his passion for miniature tracks with that for the real track.
The painting of the helmet features glossy Ferrari Red, in homage to the AF Corse car he raced at Le Mans, juxtaposed with a deep matte black that faithfully reproduces the plastic surface of Carrera toy tracks. Splitting the colors, two metallic silver stripes run down the center, recalling the metal contact rails from which slot cars draw electricity to move.
The neon green and white details, strategically placed on the aerodynamic profiles of the helmet, recall the aesthetics of the curbs on real tracks. The design is completed by the commemorative “24h di Le Mans” writing on the upper part and the unmistakable “Carrera” logo on the sides, signing an indissoluble bond between play and the reality of professional motorsport.
